107: The Rat King of Cleaning Products

Did I spend half of this podcast just peeling apart some of these fused laundry sheets? Yes. Was it therapeutic? Also yes! But it’s still a cautionary tale about the wonder of soaps and other cleansers that have been pressed into sheets: They can always rejoin one another and become a chunk once more.

Listen to the episode:

In other news, on this week’s pod, my sister has a good idea for painted floors - and it’s something Andrew and I have both never heard of! It’s accelerated hydrogen peroxide and it’s apparently like regular peroxide that come in the brown bottle except it’s more powerful and you would definitely not want to put it in your ears! AHP is a strong antibacterial that’s often used in industrial settings (like dog kennels and also hospitals). Could it help bubble some of the crud out of Corine’s floors? Maybe!

Additionally, we get into the difference between a stain that’s there to stay and one that can actually be remedied (i.e. is it dirty or just discolored?) and whether or not it’s worth it to wash your washing machine.
