111: Near Messes

Have you ever caught a saucepan full of red wine-infused tomato paste en route to a white run and tough “pheeeewwwwww, that was a close one!” Then you know the very specific, puckering, stomach-churning moment of a near mess.

Andrew had that recently. While he was busy taking cute photos of his cat being a dang scamp, he COULD have been missing a magenta mess that was blooming just under Bingo’s downy fur. But the fates shone upon him. Was it the bard Tom Petty who once stated that even the losers get lucky sometimes?

Bingo, you adorable little rapscallion.

Anyway, we talked about that and so much more this week. I forget what exactly we talked about because I was kind of in a haze of stress and now, as I write this, I have COVID (AT LAST, SHE HAS COME FOR ME), so I’m not really firing on all cylinders. Take it away, Last Week Hanna!

Another thing I was weirdly into last week was the Scrub Daddy Smile Shop. Now, recall, these people do not sponsor us AT ALL but I just love their whole deal.

In other non-spon news, Andrew’s Mexican Soap Experiment continues to be as exciting as ever. With each and every use, the product gets smoother and smoother. No seriously, he texted me about it.

He’s just so proud!

But really, this cream dish soap does seem super-cool. I’m curious why it’s just not..a…thing in the United States? Maybe that’s what Scrub Daddy should get into next? Like maybe they could branch out? And call it Scrub Tubby?
