110: The Stain of Andrew's Existence

This episode really highlights everything there is to love about Andrew: His diligence. His interest in different kinds of cleaning products, especially international options. And the fact that he is truly an 80-year-old Midwesterner at heart, as evidenced by his membership to his local Eagles Lodge Aerie.

And he loves it so much that he spent kind of a lot of time and elbow grease trying to get up a mysterious stain. He’s disappointed, but I actually think he did a pretty good job, all things (pot roast) considered!

In other news, we also got loads of amazing advice from our listeners!! Which is always exciting! Primarily:

  • Hand sanitizer is an amazing way to get sap out of clothes, off of skin, or out of hair. LIFE-CHANGING!!!

  • Cleaning up sewage? That’s the only time we’ll ever recommend you use a mop AND bucket - but be prepared with a ShopVac, which is absolutely mandatory. Otherwise, continue to never use a mop/bucket combo ever again.

Do you have great tips to change our lives? Is there something you feel like we’re missing? Or do you have questions about a mystery stain or a weird washer smell? You know what to do: Call the Spotline. 508-HOW-WASH. Put it into your phone and call any time!
