50: Ragtime Pals

Hello, my baby, hello my honey! For some, ragtime is a plucky genre that just smacks of Americana and the appropriation of brilliant Black music by boring white people. For us, though, it refers to the time of the week (or, let’s be honest, the TIMES of the week) when we go around removing all of our kitchen rags and FLOR rags and other kinds of scraps to launder at long last.

In this week’s show, Andrew and Hanna kick back and let listeners do the hard work. Kidding! We all put in a little effort this time around as we discuss such important topics as:

  • How can it be a round ice cube, hmmmmm?

  • Is it ok to staple a rug to the floor? If not, would you consider a rug pad like this?

  • If Spotless had a BINGO card, which would be the FREE space — a mention of Meliora? Or a recommendation for the use of baking soda?

Listen here:

We also got great hacks for removing bike grease and stripping towels (OUR NEW FAVORITE SUBJECT). Plus, listen for fun anecdotes about a bag mix-up and a rug store that wasn’t really a rug store at all.

Additionally, we talked about this monstrosity, which is perhaps not so much a Target issue as a design issue:

And in exciting news, this is our 50th episode! We have made 50 of these things! CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THERE ARE 50 EPISODES WORTH OF CONTENT AND EVEN MORE??

It feels good, Scrub Jockeys. It feels real good.
