96: A Roomba Of One's Own

Were you a Single Scissors household or a Dedicated Purpose Scissors type of family? Did you have sewing scissors, hair scissors, and of course, Otter Pop scissors?

Fancy small sewing scissors

NOT FOR DELICIOUS FROZEN TREATS.

This week, Andrew and I were finally reunited in person, broadcasting from his new basement studio. The wood paneling, the drop-ceilings…it was a really cozy experience.

We got into some critical topics of conversation (like scissors and how to treat you vacuum when it’s gotten a little too much use) and how to discover a cleaning moment of zen.

Also, we didn’t talk about it much, but to prepare for the trip, here’s what I cleaned around my house to ensure that when we get back to Portland, it will be very welcoming:

  • Dusted all the worst offenders

  • Wiped all the counters

  • Loaded the dishwasher (but didn’t run it because it wasn’t full; they’ll be fine)

  • Set up all the plants with their watering systems

  • Cleaned the cookstove

  • Cleaned the sink in the kitchen and in the bathroom

  • Wiped all of the mirrors

  • Washed the sheets, made the bed

  • Combed out the long rug

  • Used a lint brush on the fabric ottomans (ottomen?)

  • Wiped all of the surfaces (coffee table, end tables)

  • All laundry done and put away

  • Vacuum but didn’t mop because I just did that last week and the floors were fine

What did I miss? Call the Spotline to let me know what (if anything) you clean before you leave. As always, we love you! Happy cleaning!
