166: It's Curtains for You!

And of course, the style of rings makes a big difference.

Ok, friends, here’s a big big question: Do you really NEED a shower curtain and a liner? Opinions are split — and really, it depends on what kind of curtain you’re looking for. If, say, you’re dropping big coin on a fancy velvet curtain or even a cotton canvas curtain, you’ll definitely want a liner to keep the textiles dry and ensure that the liner can live inside of the tub, keeping water off the floor.

But if you opt for something like this highly gorgeous sea monster polyester curtain, which is machine washable and waterproof, you could get away without a full plastic liner.

Where to get a liner? I’m still looking at Outlines and Quiet Town. And of course, make sure you know how to clean them!

In other news, here’s my new hot tip for cleaning when you’ve got guests incoming: Sit where they’ll sit and look around! Make sure you sit…

  • On the guest toilet and look up and down for smudges, cobwebs, etc.

  • In every seat in the living room/dining room, looking for the same

  • On the guest bed, paying special attention to the what they’ll be seeing directly across from and next to the bed.

You might be surprised what you find!

And, because I know you’re curious, here’s how Andrew is organizing his socks. Note the very cute photo strip and all of Vieves’ hard work on the strips!
