187: Pride and Prejudishes

Thank you to our listener for taking us on a literary journey

This week, Andrew and I are engaging with ACTUAL CULTURE, as listener Stephanie reads us a sample of Pride and Prejudice (it has to do with cleaning, kind of. Honest.) AND as we explore such high-brow ideas as stealing 25-year old television programs from the BBC.

Also, a slightly unhinged rant about the difficulty of cleaning my gas stove. UGH.

Or watch on this cursed app:

In other news, we had a lengthy-ish conversation about cleaning those faucets with the curly springy bits. Generally, we’re pretty sure the best way is to either use your Designated Sink Toothbrush or the magical Clorox 5-in-1 tool. Or, you can use a cloth or paper towel and wind it around the little parts.

This question, though, brought us to the Holy Land of Internet Rabbit Holes: r/cleaningtips, a robust community of complete losers like we are who love to clean, discuss cleaning, and ask questions about — you guessed it — cleaning. This is our new favorite place. If you’re a Redditor, consider recommending Spotless the next time someone asks for recommendations!

As always, we’re here to answer your questions (or find answers to them, anyway). Call the Spotline: 508-HOW-WASH.
