186: The Compostal Service

Do you dread taking down your Christmas tree? I get it. I used to get so bummed, putting away decorations and swapping out scents (GOODBYE, PINE SCENT. SEE YOU IN NOVEMBER!) and generally sending the holiday season off into the land of nostalgia.

But now? I’ve reframed it — instead of mourning another yuletide come and gone (and recognizing my own mortality), I’ve been trying to appreciate getting my living room back.

Because once the tree is out (sawed to bits and put to the curb) and the furniture is put back, everything looks so tidy! And the pressure of the holiday season is gone! Rejoice!
